Who is Kate Towsey?
 
Kate is the Research Ops Manager at Atlasssian, and the founder of the 8000+ strong ResearchOps Community. Before moving from London to Sydney in 2018 to join Atlassian, Kate pioneered Research Operations at the UK’s Government Digital Service (GDS), where she designed and delivered their first user research lab, AV repository and participant panel. Kate is currently writing a book called “Research At Scale: The Research Operations Handbook”, which will be published by Rosenfeld Media sometime in 2022.

Before joining Springer, Stephanie was the Head of User Research and Analysis at the United Kingdom’s Government Digital Service. She is the author of “User Research: A Practical Guide to Designer Better Products & Services”, an incredibly useful reference for researchers.

Who is Kanhika Nikam?
 
Kanhika is the Experience Design and Research Lead at Springload, one of New Zealand’s largest digital experience agencies. She holds a Bachelor of Design, from MIT Institute of Design in Pune, India, as well as a Masters of Design from Stanford University. Kanhika has tackled many interesting and challenging design problems, including voice-assisted healthcare systems, airplane cabin experiences, and educational tools for preschoolers.

Steve is a former usability consultant and author of the world-famous UX book, “Don’t Make Me Think: A Common Sense Approach to Web (and Mobile) Usability”, which is now in its third edition and has sold over 600,000 copies - in 20 languages. For over 25 years Steve worked as as usability consultant, through his firm Advanced Common Sense, where he helped clients including Apple, Bloomberg, Lexus, NPR, and the International Monetary Fund, to remove friction from experiences.

A wickedly sharp product leader, in 2011 Marisa joined customer identity startup Gigya as a Client Services Manager and within five years she had risen to be VP of Product, leading her team to deliver what was widely recognised as a best in class product. 
Marisa is also a strong voice and helping hand for women in technology. She actively mentors other women through several organisations, including as a founding member of CHIEF.
