Who is Kevin Bethune?
Kevin is the Founder and Chief Creative Officer of dreams âą design + life, a strategic design consultancy that helps companies like PepsiCo, Nike, and Berkshire Hathaway, to bring a multi-disciplinary, human-centred and innovation-focused lens to business.
Graduating from Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Kevin started his career in the nuclear energy industry with Westinghouse Electric, where he became closely acquainted with the ins-and-outs of nuclear reactors.Â
After earning an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University, Kevin joined Nike, in a business role. However, his curiosity soon led him to footwear designa, where, thanks to the mentorship of DâWayne Edwards, he would design the record-breaking Air Jordan Fusion 8 shoe.
Seeking new horizons and to solidify his creative foundation, Kevin left Nike for a Master of Science in Industrial Design at the prestigious ArtCenter College of Design where he now serves on the board of Trustees. He is also the Board Chair for the Design Management Institute.
Immediately before founding dreams âą design + life, Kevin was a co-founder of the strategic design & innovation capabilities at TWO top tier management consulting firms - Booz & Co. and the Boston Consulting Group.Â
His first book, "Reimagining Design: Unlocking Strategic Innovation" was published by The MIT Press in March, with the forward written by his good friend, the legendary technologist and designer, Dr. John Maeda.

Who is Noelle Russell?
Noelle is a multi-award winning technologist, entrepreneur and big tech executive, who has invested the past 25 years in helping people to understand, productise and ethically apply emerging technologies to their businesses.
She is currently a Global Partner in AI and Analytics at IBM, where she works with business leaders to speed up their digital transformations, and to reinvent their business models through the creative application of technology.
Prior to joining IBM, Noelle was the Vice President of Digital Technology at National Public Radio. She has also held senior roles at Microsoft as a Principal Product Manager in AI and at Amazon, where she was a Senior Architect working on Alexa.Â
Alongside her busy corporate career, Noelle is also the CEO of the AI Leadership Institute, a global organisation that she founded to empower and inspire senior executives to think deeply about AI and how to apply it responsibly.

Milton is the SVP of Experience Design for Wealth, Wellness, Rewards and Retirement at Bank of America, where heâs helping to redefine how the business serves its customers.
Before joining Bank of America, Milton was the AVP, Head of Digital Design and UX at The Hartford, a Fortune 500 insurance and investment company.
And, earlier in his career, Milton spent five and half years at ESPN, where he was responsible for leading the UI and UX for ESPN.com, ESPNFC.com and ESPNDeportes.
Alongside his busy corporate design career, since 2014 Milton has also been the Founder and CEO of PicSpotr, a proudly black-owned company and CRM thatâs specifically designed to empower professional photographers to build their businesses.

Who is Peter Merholz?
Peter is the Founder and Principal at Humanism at Scale, the consulting practice he started in 2019 to amplify the practices and potential of design teams by shaping design organisations and bolstering design leadership.
Before founding Humanism at Scale, Peter was the VP of Design at Snagajob, where he oversaw design for both product and marketing. Peter has also held positions such as Senior Director of Design at Jawbone, VP of Global Design at Groupon and VP of User Experience at Inflection.
But it is his role and the almost 11 years he invested as a Co-Founder and the Head of Design Practice of Adaptive Path - then the worldâs leading UX strategy and UX design firm - that he is perhaps best known for.
In 2016, Peter co-authored âOrg Design for Design Orgsâ with Kristin Skinner, which was the first book to address building and managing effective in-house design teams.Â
And, last millennia, Peter coined the term blog. How cool is that!?

Audrey is the Chief Technology Officer at Imagr, the first vision-only, white-label, autonomous checkout solution that retailers can own, operate and scale themselves.
Before joining Imagr, she was the CPO at SnapComms, an Everbridge company. At the same time, Audrey was also the Head of Global UX for all of Everbridgeâs products, working closely with the CTO - Dr. John Maeda.
Prior to Everbridge, Audrey was the VP of Product at Pushpay, the world-leading digital engagement and giving platform for churches.
In 2019, Audrey was recognised by Leading Women in Product, as the Product Leader of the Year for Australia and New Zealand.
A clear communicator and a passionate product person, Audrey has been invited to deliver talks at UXDX Asia Pacific and Mind the Product, and has been a repeat guest on the Fearless Product podcast.

Who is Dan Hill?
Dan recently finished up as the Director of Strategic Design at Vinnova, the Swedish Governmentâs innovation agency, to become the Director of the Melbourne School of Design, at the University of Melbourne in Australia.Â
He has also been an Associate Director and Head of Arup Digital Studio, a Strategic Design Lead at SITRA (Finlandâs government innovation fund) and the Head of Interactive Technology and Design at the BBC.
Dan was one of the Mayor of Londonâs - Sadiq Khanâs - inaugural Design Advocates. He has been a Trustee of the Participatory City Foundation and he is a founding member of the UN HABITAT Council for Urban Initiatives.
The author of the influential book âDark Matter & Trojan Horses: A Strategic Design Vocabularyâ and a a prolific blogger, Dan has been writing about design, technology, cities and culture for over 20 years on his blog, âCity of Soundâ.

As someone who is inspired by the potential for design to help solve complex problems, Jodine is also the co-founder of the online UX community called UXCONNECT, through which she runs regular leadership retreats.
Prior to Fireside Consulting, Jodine was a Director of User Experience at Digital Arts Network in New Zealand, where she worked with key clients such as Auckland Council, Countdown Supermarkets, and Spark.

Who is Matthew Holloway?
Matthew is an independent design consultant with over 25 years of experience scaling high performance product design teams for some of the worldâs largest companies.
As VP in the Office of CEO at SAP, Matthew worked with Hasso Plattner (the Co-Founder and Chairman) and Henning Kagermann (the then CEO) leading the global Design Thinking transformation of SAPs 60,000-person development, sales and consulting services divisions.
After leaving SAP, Matthew took on the role of VP of Product Design & User Experience for Shutterfly. While there he led an aggressive programme of ongoing product improvements, as well as a strategic programme that resulted in an estimated $50 million dollars of annual savings.Â
He has co-founded two companies, including Atlas Informatics - a machine learning based personal search technology - that counted Bill Gates, Nathan Myhrvold and Microsoft amongst its investors - and was acquired by Xinova in 2017.

Prior to joining Mach49, Bill was an Adjunct Professor in Human Factors at Bentley University and the Executive Director of the Bentley University User Experience Centre for nearly 14 years.Â
Along with the his good friend, the late Dr. Tom S. Tullis, Bill is the co-author of two books, Measuring the User Experience: Collecting, Analyzing, and Presenting Usability Metrics and Beyond the Usability Lab: Conducting Large-Scale Online User Experience Studies.
